Sunday Notes

We've been studying Leviticus in Adult Bible Class for quite some time now. It is such a valuable book to study to learn the historic reasons for the way we worship the way we do. This morning's discussion was about how we as a society trivialize going to church. Our society has the attitude that you don't have to go to church to spend time with God. God is everywhere. God is on the golf course. God is at the lake. But, we discussed, what about the Means of Grace? God did not intend to meet us at the lake or golf course or anywhere else to be present in Holy Communion. We must be in church to receive those blessings! ✞
