We've had many storms across the state this month. We've been fortunate in our community to miss the devastating storms. Many other communities have not fared as well. Chapman and Manhattan, KS were the most recent communities to suffer a lot of damage, including damage to the K-State campus. This shot was captured by a photographer in Manhattan, KS as the tornado approached. I had to post it, because it is an amazing and scary photo! There were two fatalities in Chapman. I am not aware of any fatalities in Manhattan. We have a college friend who lives in Chapman. He was among the 15% who were not hit by the tornado.

My niece works on the KSU campus. Here is a link to the pics she sent us. Luckily, she nor anyone in her dorm were injured. She did say there was several million dollars in damage on the campus, alone.
